ATOM is an independent, non-profit, professional association promoting the study of media. Each year, scholarships from a fund established by the former NSW Cookery Teachers Association may be awarded to students originating from NSW Government School Institutions entering into a Teacher Education Program with the intention of becoming teachers of Design & Technology or equivalent (formerly Home Science) in NSW Government Schools.
To be eligible for this award a student must have completed study and obtained a pass in the area of Food Technology, Hospitality and/or Design and Technology or equivalent at Higher School Certificate level.
The award is currently for one thousand five hundred dollars ($1,500.00) per annum, tenable for a maximum of four years, pending continuation of study within the agreed discipline.
